Listicles like The 9 Books You Must Read To Become Badass trap you inside mirages of self-development. And instills fears of whether you’re reading the right or wrong books. Guru guff like Find and apply the book’s lessons hijacks your ability to extract a book’s true wisdom and saps enjoyment from reading. Bookstores puke social justice fare all over you as soon as you walk inside, making finding and reading great books a challenge. A far more satisfying and enjoyable way of reading exists.
